SCSA and TISC are your friends

SCSA is the WA education authority and TISC is the WA university admissions authority. For ATAR and university pathways, these resources can become your supportive friends throughout Year 12.

  • SCSA has prepared two handbooks for Year 12, Information for All Year 12 Students & Examinations. These handbooks provide you with clarity about WACE and WASSA, examinations, certification, rules and requirements, and even tips to make the most of Year 12. 

    These handbooks explain how the basics work and what you need to know about the basics of Year 12. If you are unsure about how it all works, it is best to start here.

  • ATAR exam timetables will be available on Wednesday 10th June 2026. Written exams are scheduled from Sat 26th Sep to Sun 25th Oct 2026. Practical exams are scheduled from Sat 26th Sep to Sun 25th Oct 2026.

    Your personalised exam timetable will be available on the SCSA Student Portal from Tue 8th September 2026. Your timetable will contian the date, time, and location of the exam.

  • For 2026 Year 12's for university admission in 2027

    TISC has collated university requirements for admissions and information on selecting courses, course prerequisites, and admission pathways.

    Please note: The information is correct as of July 2025. Updates may have been made.

  • The TISC Guide provides year 12s information about applying for undergraduate courses in Western Australia for the five WA universities.

    This guide is perfect for all information about TISC and what you need to know about university course selection and admissions.

  • Dates for early offers are yet to be released.

    TISC has collated information about how early offers work and what to expect. 

  • SCSA has made it easy to understand the requirements for WACE in 2026. Read to understand the requirements in order to obtain your certificate.

    It is helpful to read through the WACE Manual (linked in document) to understand the back-end and in-depth information about obtaining your WACE.

University support available

We have collated some university resources for you to understand university admissions. This is where updates are made the most.

  • ECU's My Uni Start portal provides a glossary that helps you understand what terms you may not even has seen yet, but terms you definitely will seen during enrolment and first-year.

    While some terms are unique to ECU, most apply to any university you will go to.

  • Understand the university application process from Murdoch. Learn admissions process, TISC processes, ATAR outcomes, key dates, fees, and more very useful information.

  • NSW and ACT uses the UAC for university admissions to universities in NSW and ACT. Dates and information for 2027 university admissions are still vaugue.

  • Queensland uses the QTAC for university admissions to universities in QLD. Dates and information for 2027 university admissions are still vaugue.
